As you all know, Save the Manatee was one of Jimmy Buffetts charitable endeavors and it is still going strong.  In fact, a manatee at MOTE Marine Laboratory is named Buffett and living happily in Sarasota in Jimmys honor! Many of you donate and adopt a manatee, but now you can do more!

Save the Manatee Club is preparing for the 2026 Save the Manatee 5K, which will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at Blue Spring State Park in Orange City, Florida. The event supports manatee conservation, education, rescue, rehabilitation, and habitat protection efforts.

There are many ways we would love the Parrotheads to be involved including sponsorships, in-kind support, volunteer participation, and other partnership opportunities. Sponsorship levels range from $100 to $2,000 and include a variety of recognition and engagement opportunities.

If any of the chapters are interested in participating, the first step is to complete our Sponsorship Interest Form.

We are also seeking volunteers to assist with race-day operations and related event activities. If any of the local chapters are interested in volunteering, they can submit their interest on our 5K Volunteer Interest Form.
