We are designing the Parrot Head Reef to be a living underwater memorial to honor Jimmy
Buffett’s environmental and musical legacy. The aim is to dedicate 50 artificial reefs off the
coast of Key West on September 1, 2026, marking three years since his passing. These reefs will
generate significant new growth in the marine environment, adding valuable natural habitat to
our ocean’s dwindling coral reefs. The proposed cost of this project is $275,000 and fundraising
has begun.

reef with a personalized bronze plaque you can design that will affix to the reef.
